Management

The Argentum Strategy Group is led by Susan Silver, a seasoned marketing expert with more than 30 years of experience working with businesses ranging from those in the Fortune 100 to startups and early stage companies. Typical clients have revenue or funding in the $2M to $200M range and generally lack a full-time strategic marketing leader.

Prior to founding Argentum in 2006, Susan had a successful, multi-faceted career, mainly in consumer packaged goods. Her background includes sales experience at Procter & Gamble, marketing leadership at Equal Sweetener, and a wide range of general management and P&L leadership positions at Kraft Foods. During her 10-year tenure at Kraft, the largest P&L Susan was responsible for was worth $300M. Other assignments have included roles in Market Research, Consumer Relationship Management and Strategic Alliances.

Susan earned her MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and graduated cum laude from Duke University with a dual major in biology and history.

She has guest lectured at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. Active in the Chicago entrepreneurial community, Susan has been the Marketing Coach and a judge for Booth’s Global New Venture Challenge as well as the New Venture Challenge, in addition to being an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for Future Founders, and a Techstars mentor. She also teaches marketing workshops at 1871, Chicago’s largest incubator, as well as classes for the American Marketing Association, including Marketing Strategy for B2Bs and Marketing Department of One.

Susan is on the Board of Directors of Agricycle Global the Advisory Board for TopStep Trader. Susan is also a member of the global Kellogg Alumni Council, the Board of Directors of Lakeview Pantry and a former board member of Vital Bridges.

Susan is one of the most capable marketers I know. Her grasp of strategic marketing and brand positioning is unmatched. I have worked with Argentum on multiple projects with great success
