The Argentum Strategy Group is led by Susan Silver, a seasoned marketing expert with more than 25 years of experience working with businesses ranging from those in the Fortune 100 to much smaller, less formal entrepreneurial companies, some with as few as 2 employees.
Prior to founding Argentum, Susan had a successful, multi-faceted career, mainly in consumer packaged goods. Her background includes sales experience at Procter & Gamble, marketing leadership at Equal Sweetener, and a wide range of general management and P&L leadership positions at Kraft Foods. During her 10-year tenure at Kraft, the largest P&L Susan was responsible for was worth $300M. Other assignments have included roles in Market Research, CRM and Strategic Alliances.
Susan earned her MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and graduated cum laude from Duke University with a dual major in Biology and History. She has been a guest lecturer at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. Active in the Chicago entrepreneurial community, Susan has been the Marketing Coach for Booth’s New Venture Challenge in addition to being an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for Future Founders, and a mentor for both Techstars and the Polsky Accelerator. She also teaches Positioning, MarketingResearch for Entrepreneurs and Marketing Strategy at 1871, Chicago’s largest incubator and, at the American Marketing Association, she teaches a day-long class she developed, Marketing Strategy for B2Bs.
Susan is on the Advisory Board of TopStep Trader, LLC and ZipFit, Inc. Susan is also a member of the Board of Directors of Lakeview Pantry and is a former board member of Vital Bridges.
Susan came in and helped evaluate our brand strategy, developed a strategic plan and guided us to developing our annual brand plans. Her work was very well thought out and provided leadership for the organization while we had a void in the marketing leadership position.Tim Fallon
